Been there several times, they really are pros
Great place and great people! Whenever I need anything Dennis is very knowledgeable and gives solid advice and recommendations. Came in fairly new to cycling and was looking to buy a road bike Dennis took a few off the rack for me to try and answered all of my questions. Was not pushy at all and I wound up with a Cannondale that I ride every single day and I couldn’t be happier!
Took my bike in for a tune up. It took forever for someone to acknowledge me. The kid at the counter never said a word the 10 minutes I was in there and no one else was in the shop, the older gentleman I talked to said something to me as soon as he came out from the back of the shop. Pretty sure he was the owner. He came off a little short tempered, but it was really near closing time when I came in so I can understand to some extent. He did seem generally knowledgeable and not entirely disagreeable. He told me he had a pretty big line of bikes in front of mine so it would be about a week, and I'd get a call when it was ready. Ok, cool. A week goes by. Maybe he had some parts issues, it had odd sized tires I wanted replaced. Two weeks, three. I give them a call after a month, the same kid who ignored me answered the phone. First he couldn't find the paperwork for my bike, then got annoyed at me that I hadn't picked my bike up yet. When I went to pick up the bike, the same kid again ignored me for 5, 10 minutes while I was the only customer in there, and standing at the counter. When he did finally decide to cash me out, he took forever because he was listening to the other employee talk to the only other customer in the store. While whoever worked on it did a good job servicing the bike, I won't be going back. It's unfortunate because they're a lot closer than my other options.
I see too many reviews on this shop about how no one approached people to help them out. One thing I hate more than anything is walking into a furniture store and being latched onto by a salesperson immediately when I just want to browse a bit. If you need assistance go to the counter and ask and someone will help you.
Went to get my tire fixed. Cost less than $20 and was finished in 15 minutes. I had a great experience here and would recommend them to others.
Went over for a bicycle tune up- which cost more than expected. When I got the bike back, I rode it only to find that the front brake was still sticking and was soft. (I had tried to do my own tune-up and failed and that was why I took it in.) Tires weren't filled up.
TL;DR, some of the staff is rude and ignored me, never got a call saying my bike was ready, did a decent job servicing the bike once I did get it back. Based on another reviewer, maybe it's just women they're not great with.
I emailed them to let them know of my dissatisfaction as I don't like to write negative reviews without giving the company the chance to fix the issue. I never heard back from them.
